The model captures the M60A1 with reactive armor, carries rubber tracks and decals and is completed by crew figures. Glue and paints are not included in the package.
The M60 was an American main battle tank with a 105 mm gun which formed the backbone of the US armored forces for decades. The M60A1 version in Marine Corps service received explosive reactive armor in the form of blocks on the turret and the hull and a package of improvements with a better stabilizer, night vision and more reliable electronics. The characteristic tall silhouette with the cast turret and the commander's cupola is among the typical features of the M60 family. Tanks modified in this way took part in the Gulf War of 1991, where they showed their combat potential even against more modern machines and their units suffered no serious losses.
Finish and paint the running gear and the rubber tracks before you close the hull up. Clean up the blocks of reactive armor and seat them precisely. Apply the single-color olive or desert scheme with an airbrush. Bring out the details with washes in the seams and finish with dust and mud pigments on the running gear for convincing weathering.
