1:35 VW 82 KÄFER WINDOW AIRBRUSH MASK

VW Type 82 Kaefer - window mask set 1:35 (MH models)

This set contains self-adhesive airbrush masks in 1:35 scale for a model of the Volkswagen Kaefer (Beetle) in the military Type 82 form. The masks follow the shape of the windows and the glazing exactly, so a modeler can cover the windows reliably while spraying and achieve sharp framing. It is not a kit or model parts. Take the exact scope of the masks from the illustration on the package.

The real subject

The Volkswagen Kaefer, popularly the Beetle, is a legendary car with an air-cooled engine mounted at the rear. In the military Type 82 form it served as a staff and liaison car, with the Beetle body on a sturdier chassis adapted for use across country. It is one of the most widespread and best-known car designs in history.

Use and tips

• Apply the masks to clean, degreased glazing and press the edges down.
• Press the transitions between frame and glass with a toothpick against seepage.
• Spray in thin coats, so that paint does not run under the mask.
• Remove the masks shortly after the paint has dried, while the finish is still flexible.

Who the set is for

For modelers who want clean, sharp framing of the windows without the slow business of masking by hand with tape.

This is a mask set, not a model. The kit and the paints are not included in the package.
