A set of withered leaves in 1:35 scale from the Czech manufacturer Plusmodel holds laser-cut paper leaves of five tree species in a true-to-color finish.

The set is a scenic material for a diorama, not a kit. The leaves are laser cut from thin paper and imitate dry, fallen leaves in color. Five tree species are represented, oak, maple, linden, cherry and birch, so the spread of shapes matches real autumn leaf litter, where the leaves of a single tree never lie on their own.
In 1:35 scale paper has the right thickness and, above all, it behaves like a leaf: it can be bent, waved and turned, so a layer of leaves does not read as a flat sticker. The laser cut keeps even the small lobes and the serration of the edges, by which the individual species are recognized. The color is part of the material, so the leaves do not have to be painted, only evened out with the tone of the scene if need be.
Lift the leaves out with tweezers and lay them in layers, first a denser base and then individual leaves in visible places. Fix them with thinned PVA glue with a drop of dish soap, which runs under a leaf and leaves no gloss. For plasticity, crumple the leaves lightly between your fingers before gluing or bend them with the blunt side of a scalpel. Place a few leaves on the fenders, in the steps and in the corners of the terrain, as that is exactly where leaves really catch. The shade can be fine-tuned with a light breath of tinting paint from an airbrush.
