This accessory is not a resin casting but a printed paper sheet. According to the name it holds 24 scaled-down posters meant for finishing a scene in 1:35 scale. The motifs are based on period propaganda posters of the Allied countries of the First World War. The sheet is not worked like a modeling casting: nothing is cut off, sanded or filled, and the posters are simply cut out and stuck down.
Small printed details are among the elements that most quickly move a diorama from a stage set to a believable scene. A poster on a wall, on a wooden fence or on a post fills an empty area, gives the scene its period setting and at the same time brings a touch of color where there would otherwise be plain plaster. Because there are twenty-four posters on the sheet, it usually lasts for more than one scene and the rest stays in reserve.
Cut the posters out with a sharp scalpel with a new blade against a metal ruler and on a cutting mat; scissors are mostly not enough at such a small size. For sticking them down, thinned PVA glue applied in a thin layer works well: the paper is pressed on and the air underneath is pushed out. On an uneven surface, for example a brick wall, moisten the paper lightly first so that it softens and follows the irregularities. A poster that is not perfect looks more realistic: a torn corner, a slightly lifted edge or a light wash ties the print in with the rest of the scene. At the end spray everything with a matte coat so that the paper does not reflect light differently from its surroundings.
