An accessory set from the Czech manufacturer Eduard: 3D-printed smoke launchers designated NbKWrf39 for models of German armored vehicles in 1:35 scale. The PRINT designation in the name means that the parts are neither injection-molded nor photo-etched but printed, which is reflected both in the fineness of the shape and in the way they are worked.
Smoke launchers were mounted in groups on the sides of the turret or the hull of German armored vehicles of the Second World War. They served to create a smoke screen, that is to cover movement; they are not armament in the true sense. For the modeler the essential point is that plastic kits usually simplify this small, sharp-edged detail and that the cylindrical bodies come out of the mold soft.
Printed parts are usually held on thin supports. Cut them off with a sharp scalpel or a fine saw as close to the part as possible and sand the remainder away carefully; not with nippers, as the material is brittle. They are bonded with super glue. On the model they are fitted where you have removed the original simplified shape; level the area first. Start painting with a thin primer, otherwise the paint will not hold; finally bring the cylindrical bodies out lightly with a dry brush so that their outline shows.
