The photo-etched set Eduard HMS Hood 1:350: fine metal parts for refining a model of the British battlecruiser HMS Hood. It is not a model but an accessory for the 1:350 kit (Trumpeter).
Responsibility details are not available.
The photo-etched detail set HMS Hood in 1:350 scale from the Czech manufacturer Eduard. It is not a model but an extensive set of fine brass parts that replace the coarse plastic elements of the British battlecruiser HMS Hood. The set is designed for the kit from Trumpeter in the same scale.
HMS Hood was a British battlecruiser, for a long time the largest warship in the world, sunk by the Bismarck in the Battle of the Denmark Strait in May 1941. The set replaces the coarse plastic railings with scale-thin ones and adds steps, ladders, screens, radars and other deck details that give the ship a faithful, fine appearance.
Separate the parts carefully from the fret with a sharp knife or photo-etch scissors, make the bends according to the instructions (ideally on a photo-etch bending tool) and glue them with super glue (cyanoacrylate): cement for plastic does not hold on metal. With long railings, patience and gluing in shorter sections pay off. The set is a larger one, so work through it section by section according to the instructions and glue the railings in shorter runs. We recommend spraying unpainted parts with primer and the color of the ship before fitting.
The photo-etched set is an accessory, not a model. The ship kit itself, glue and paints are not included in the package.
