The battleship Musashi in 1:350 scale in the Deluxe outfit, that is with photo-etch, turned barrels and a wooden deck over and above the standard release.
Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded kit of the Japanese battleship Musashi in the Deluxe rendition. Over and above the standard box it adds photo-etched brass parts, turned metal barrels, a wooden deck and accessories in resin and in three-dimensional print.
The Musashi was built in Nagasaki and entered service in August 1942 as the sister ship of the Yamato. With a length of 263 meters and nine 460 mm guns she was among the most heavily armed ships ever to sail; in the scale of this kit the hull comes out at roughly 75 centimeters. For a year she served as the flagship of the Combined Fleet. The end came on 24 October 1944 in the Sibuyan Sea, where during the fighting off Leyte she was sunk by repeated attacks from American carrier aircraft.
Decide right at the start whether you want the whole hull on a stand or only the part above the waterline set into a water surface. The wooden deck is laid on a perfectly cleaned surface and in a thin layer of glue, or the edges will lift. Bend the photo-etched railings in a bender or between two blades, and fit them only after the hull has been sprayed. The metal barrels suit a bluing bath.
The kit comes unassembled and without paints; glue is bought separately.
