The Eduard Tone 1:350 photo-etched set brings fine metal parts for refining a model of the Japanese heavy cruiser Tone. It is not a model but an accessory to the kit (Tamiya) in 1:350 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
A photo-etched detail set for the Tone in 1:350 scale from the Czech manufacturer Eduard. It is not a model but a set of fine brass parts that replace the coarse plastic elements of the Japanese heavy cruiser Tone. The set is designed for the Tamiya kit in the same scale.
Tone was a Japanese heavy cruiser of the Second World War, distinctive for concentrating her main armament forward and for the extensive after deck for floatplanes. The set replaces the coarse plastic railings with scale-thin railings and adds fine deck details, catapults and gratings that give the ship a faithfully delicate look.
Separate the parts carefully from the fret with a sharp knife or photo-etch scissors, make the bends according to the instructions (ideally on a photo-etch bending tool) and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue) - plastic cement does not hold on metal. Long railings call for patience and are best glued in shorter sections. Bend railings and fine lattice elements exactly as the instructions show. The parts are supplied unpainted, so spraying them with primer and the ship color before fitting is recommended.
The photo-etched set is an accessory, not a model. The ship kit itself, glue and paints are not included in the package.
