An injection-molded plastic kit of the American destroyer USS Livermore (DD-429) of the Gleaves class in her 1942 condition, in 1:350 scale from Dragon. The set contains photo-etched parts for fine items such as ladders, antennas and other detail. The model can be built as a full-hull version or as a waterline one.
USS Livermore was an American destroyer commissioned at the start of the 1940s. During the Second World War she worked mainly in the Atlantic, where she escorted convoys and supported the Allied landings in North Africa and later in the Mediterranean. Destroyers of this class carried gun, anti-aircraft and torpedo armament.
Separate the photo-etched parts on a cutting mat and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue. Finish the deck and the superstructures first, then add the small photo-etched items and the masts. Spraying the model with an airbrush over a filler is recommended, finished off with a wash to bring out the detail. A separate stand suits the display.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
