This is NOT a model of a ship but a package of detail accessories from the Czech brand Eduard in 1:350 scale. The Big Ed set brings together three separate photo-etched sets that raise the fidelity of the plastic model of the aircraft carrier USS Nimitz CVN-68. All the sets included are also sold separately.
It is a package of photo-etched metal parts that replace and supplement the details of the base kit, for example railings, radars, antennas, ladders and other fine elements that cannot be faithfully molded in plastic. The particular contents of the individual sets are given in the enclosed instructions.
Separate the photo-etched parts from the fret with a sharp knife on a cutting mat, bend them with a photo-etch bending tool and glue them with super glue. Degrease the parts before gluing; once painted, the fine details of the railings and the superstructures will stand out. The work calls for patience and experience with photo-etched parts.
An add-on set. The base model, glue and paints are not included in the package and are sold separately.
