Responsibility details are not available.
Injection-molded plastic kit of the Sovremenny class destroyer in the Project 956E export version in 1:350 scale from Trumpeter. The model can be built either as a waterline or as a full-hull version, and it is rounded out by photo-etched parts and a shipborne helicopter with a clear fuselage. For the exact contents, follow the enclosed instructions.
The Sovremenny class was a Soviet, later Russian, series of destroyers aimed at fighting surface ships, armed with anti-ship guided missiles and a pair of turrets with 130 mm guns. The Project 956E version was created as the export configuration. She is a large, heavily armed vessel with a distinctive silhouette and a hangar for an anti-submarine helicopter.
Decide in advance on the waterline or the full-hull version. Glue with thin cement for plastic; fit the fine photo-etched parts (radars, railings) with cyanoacrylate glue at the end. Leave the helicopter separate for painting and mask its clear fuselage. A cold naval gray, bold deck markings and restrained washes in the joints with sparing weathering suit a convincing look.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
