An accessory for builders of scenes, not a kit. It offers French magazines, newspapers and books in 1:35 scale, that is printed matter for the hands of figures, for small tables, for the counter of a stand or for a door pocket in a car.
In France printed matter is part of the local color of the street: a newsstand on the corner, a pillar with announcements, a cafe table with newspapers folded on it. Anyone building a French scene usually settles the architecture and the vehicles, but it is precisely these small things that decide whether a scene looks French or merely European in general. They serve just as well in a rural scene, where a single copy left on a bench by a house is enough.
The hardest thing about small printed matter tends to be the edge. Make the cut so that it stays sharp, and work the folding over a blunt point, not over a fingernail. A book laid spine up, a magazine half open in the middle and a newspaper folded in two are three different positions, and they must not keep repeating in the same way in a scene. Keep the color of small print more subdued than on large surfaces, otherwise a small object will draw disproportionate attention.
Do not look for a kiosk, a table or figures in the package.
