It is released by AMMO of Mig Jimenez, a brand known above all for modeling chemicals, which has extended its offer to accessories for military vehicles as well. The same range also holds a set of tracks for another type of vehicle, so this is a more rounded family of products rather than an isolated item.
In the small scales tracks are usually the first thing that gives a finished model away. Injection-molded parts from the box tend to have a simplified pattern and the unavoidable draft angles, which cannot be removed without damaging the shape. A replacement set solves that problem and at the same time makes it possible to capture the sag of the upper run of the track, which looks natural on a vehicle standing on the ground.
The abbreviation LVT stands for an American amphibious tracked vehicle whose paddle tracks worked in the water as marine propulsion and on the shore as ordinary running gear. It was thanks to them that units could come straight out of the sea onto a coast and were not even stopped by a coral reef. The machines became most famous in the landing operations of the Pacific, but they were also used in Europe to cross watercourses and flooded lowlands.
