A Decalcas sheet with the markings of the shortened version of the quattro the way the car looked in the works season of 1984. The set is intended for a modeler who builds competition specials in 1:24 scale and wants to assign his model to a particular year and team.
The shortened quattro was created by taking a piece of the wheelbase out of the ordinary coupe — the car gained brisker responses to the steering wheel by that, at the price of more nervous behavior. The drive was provided by a turbocharged five-cylinder, whose sound became the mark of the whole marque, and by permanent drive to all the wheels, with which Audi turned the competition world upside down at the beginning of the 1980s. The 1984 season brought the marque its best period with this concept, both in the drivers' and in the manufacturers' standings. Characteristic are the angular fenders, the massive intake grilles and the massive rear wing.
Let the light lettering come only onto perfectly cured varnish. Fresh paint under a decal is still outgassing and can cause the film to ripple or matte patches to appear under it. A few days extra between painting and the markings are the best insurance you can allow yourself.
