A publication of the Ultra Detail Guide line of the Komakai brand, devoted to the Tyrrell Ford 003 Formula 1 car.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Tyrrell 003 is a Formula 1 car of the British Tyrrell team powered by a Ford engine; the two names in the title therefore belong to the team and to the engine supplier. The car falls into the beginning of the seventies, into the time of narrow bodies with a wedge nose, exposed suspension and wide treadless tires. The bodywork covered little then, so almost all the mechanicals stay visible on a model.
The title belongs to the Ultra Detail Guide line, which the Komakai brand devotes to the detailed documentation of racing cars. A modeler reaches for it when they want certainty about what a kit only suggests: how the hoses and cables were routed, what the dashboard and the seat looked like, where the exhausts ran and how the downforce surfaces were attached. It also helps with the color scheme and with the placing of lettering, which changed in the course of the season.
For builders of Formula 1 models, for anyone interested in the racing hardware of the beginning of the seventies and for collectors of motorsport literature. It is a publication in its own right classed under literature; a model, a kit and decals are not part of it, unless stated otherwise.
