The white Corolla WRC White shade from Number Five comes from the livery of the Toyota Corolla WRC rally car of the late 1990s.
Responsibility details are not available.
This white is not a civilian one. It comes from the rally Corolla built to the world championship rules of the time, whose body served as a surface for bold sponsor graphics, and that is exactly why the white ground has to be clean and neutral.
The Corolla WRC was built from the three-door generation of the car but with engineering to the rules of the premier rally class: a turbocharged four-cylinder, four-wheel drive and flared fenders. It began to be entered in the second half of the 1990s, and its best season came in 1999, when the Japanese brand took the manufacturers' title and immediately afterwards left rallying for circuit programs. Carlos Sainz and Didier Auriol took turns at the wheel. The car is recognized by its tall rear wing and the large front intake opening in the grille.
It aims at modelers of rally cars who need a white ground matched to printed decals. The car was made to the rules of the World Rally Car class, which, unlike the older group regulations, did not require homologation of a large series of road examples. The shade is derived from the livery of the car rather than from a standard number, and the sponsor graphics are always a matter of decals, as the paint covers only the basic surface of the body.
