R5 Turbo Yellow

The color

The yellow from the Number 5 range is named after the Renault 5 Turbo. The range is organized car by car, so a builder reaches straight for a tone in the spirit of the subject and does not have to find it by mixing. The paint is intended for the bodies of car models.

Yellow and a white primer

Yellow covers worst of all the shades. Applied straight onto plastic it looks like a translucent veil and filled areas show through even after several coats. A white primer is therefore almost a duty with it: it evens the surface out into a single tone and the yellow comes out bright on it, with considerably fewer coats. Apply the coats thin and let them dry properly; on a yellow surface every speck of dust that lands in a coat is easy to see as well. So paint in a clean corner and do not work with abrasive paper over a dried surface.

Painting tips

• Wash and degrease the parts and let them dry properly.
• Stir the paint before use, as the pigment settles to the bottom of the container.
• Apply the white primer over the whole body, not only on the repaired spots.
• You reach saturation by the number of thin coats, not by one heavy one.
• Mask two-tone combinations only on fully cured paint.

Terms of supply

The paint is supplied as described. A model, primer, thinner, clear coat and tools are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise. For thinning, cleaning tools and drying times, follow the manufacturer's data on the packaging. Work in a ventilated room and store the container carefully closed and out of the reach of children.
