The white Escort Mk I White comes from the factory white in which Ford supplied first-generation Escorts to customers and to rally teams alike.

The Escort Mk I White shade is tied to one of the most successful rally cars of its day. White was common on these Escorts both on production examples and on cars prepared for rallying.
The first-generation Ford Escort was built from 1968 and you recognize it by the dog-bone shape of its grille. It was a small rear-wheel-drive car whose light body and short wheelbase earned it a reputation on gravel as an indestructible helper. Alongside the ordinary versions came the sharp Twin Cam, RS1600 and Mexico variants, the last of them named in memory of victory in the long-distance event from London to Mexico in 1970. It was exactly on a white body that the contrasting stripes across the flanks and the black-painted hood came into their own, turning an ordinary sedan into an icon of rally stages. The white on this subject is not meant to be snow cool but rather calm and slightly warm, as photographs of the period cars know it.
It aims at modelers of historic rally cars who want a white matching the real subject rather than any color from a palette. Anyone who builds several versions of one type and needs the pieces in a display case to agree in color will also get use out of it.
