A product in a thirty milliliter package that is added to paint or varnish so that craters do not form on a sprayed surface. They form when a trace of silicone or grease is left on the base, the spray pulls away from it and a small dip with a rim around it appears in the paint. Modelers most often run into this after using polishes, release agents and household products that contain silicone without it being obvious at first glance, and the unpleasant part is above all that the flaw shows up in the last coat, that is when the work is almost finished.
It is added in a small amount to prepared paint or varnish and stirred in. Meter it carefully and work drop by drop, because the additive changes how the spray behaves. The product is no substitute for proper preparation, though: the surface has to be degreased first and the workspace kept free of sources of silicone, which above all means free of sprays and polishes. Test the effect on an offcut before using it on a model in progress.
For modelers who build painted bodies and struggle with craters in the last coat, and for anyone who works in a shop where casting into silicone molds is done.
Keep the product out of the reach of children, ventilate while working and close the bottle after use.
