A Number 5 modeling paint in a blue shade designated Wolf Racing Blue, from a range named after automotive paints.
Responsibility details are not available.
Wolf Racing Blue is a blue shade from the Number 5 brand. The range is named after automotive paints, so the shade belongs above all on the bodies of car models, whether you are building a circuit car or a road coupe. The paint is ready mixed, so there is no arguing over a mixing ratio and a touch-up comes out in the same tone as the first coat.
Stir the paint first and decant it into a cup, and only then thin it. The thinning ratio and the recommended thinner are given in the manufacturer's instructions; a thinner from elsewhere can curdle the paint into grains. Move the airbrush smoothly, at a constant distance and with a slight overrun past the edge of a part, so that no heavier coat builds up at the edges. Go over the whole body in one session, otherwise the difference in gloss between the passes will show. Flush the airbrush immediately after work, as dried paint is hard to get out of the nozzle.
Before spraying, wash the model, degrease it and let it dry. A primer unifies plastic, filler and sanded areas, and the blue comes out equally saturated everywhere on it. Let the finished paint cure and only then lay on decals and masking tape. It can also be applied with a brush; work the strokes in one direction and do not go back into a surface that has started to set.
For builders of car models who work with named body shades, and for anyone looking for a ready blue. Thinner, varnish, brushes and a model are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
