1:35 KOZAK-001 UKRAINIAN MRAP 3D DECALS FOR ICM KIT are three-dimensional decals from the Kelik brand for the interior of the Ukrainian armored vehicle in 1:35 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is not a model of the vehicle but an extra for a kit already bought. Kelik is a Ukrainian brand related to the maker of accessories ReSKit and it concentrates on decals with a three-dimensional structure that are carried over onto plastic parts just like ordinary decals. They thus replace lengthy painting of instruments, plates and upholstery by hand. The kit the set is cut for is given directly in the name of the item.
The Kozak-001 is a Ukrainian armored vehicle of the MRAP class, that is, a machine built with an eye to resistance against mines and improvised devices. It is used by the National Guard of Ukraine and since 2022 it has been among the well visible vehicles of the conflict. Characteristic are the tall body, the shaped floor and the roomy crew cabin, which is precisely why it is a rewarding target for detailing.
It is advisable to level the surfaces under a decal first and to spray them with gloss varnish, as a matte surface would leave silvery patches under the edge. The motif is separated in water and a blunt brush or a soft cotton swab will help it to seat down into the detail. Whether a decal softener can be used with it should be verified in the manufacturer's instructions; with printed elements the makers tend to be cautious about it. Once it has dried, go over the whole interior with matte varnish, so that the extra merges with its surroundings.
The package contains only the decals, and the vehicle itself is obtained separately.
