This set of colored self-adhesive 3D decals serves to detail an interior; it is not a kit. A flexible film with raised colored elements replaces the instrument panel, the side panels and other cockpit details of the Fw 190 D-9 fighter from the IBG Models kit in 1:72 scale. It is made by Kelik.
The Focke-Wulf Fw 190 D-9, nicknamed Dora, is a late fighter version of the famous German fighter of the Second World War. In place of the radial engines of the earlier versions it received an inverted V12 engine with a lengthened forward fuselage, which improved its performance at greater altitudes. It ranks among the highest performing piston fighters of its day.
The elements are carefully lifted out of the sheet and stuck onto the relevant surfaces of the cockpit. The film conforms to slightly curved surfaces; degrease the surfaces and press the element into the detail with a soft cotton bud. Check in the manufacturer's instructions whether a decal softener may be used with them; with printed elements manufacturers tend to be cautious about softeners. Colored detail then comes about with no painting.
This is an accessory for a model, not the kit itself. The model, the glue and the paints are not included in the package.
