This accessory by Omask solves a single but annoying step of the build: what to stop the open landing gear bays with before the model goes under the airbrush. The plugs are put into the bays, pulled out after spraying, and the interior stays untouched. It is neither a kit nor a decal sheet, but an aid for painting. The set is cut for the J2M3 Raiden kit by Hasegawa in 1:48 scale.
The J2M Raiden was a Japanese naval interceptor, listed by the Allies under the code name Jack. Unlike the light Zero it relied on a powerful Kasei radial engine, a robust structure and heavy cannon armament, because its task was to climb quickly and hit American bombers. The J2M3 version was among the most widespread and fought over the Japanese home islands at the end of the war.
