Hobby Design decals 1:24 - Mazda 787B Mazdaspeed, JSPC 1991 carry the racing markings with the starting number 202. You are buying the sheet alone, not the prototype in a box. Developed for the Tamiya kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
The sheet holds racing markings for the prototype Mazda 787B with the starting number 202 in the guise in which the car started in the Japanese endurance championship JSPC in 1991. It is not a kit but decoration for finishing a car already built in 1:24. The target kit is the Tamiya.
The 787B is a Group C prototype powered by the four-rotor R26B engine. It was with it that Mazda won the 24-hour race at Le Mans in 1991 and became the first Japanese brand to manage it. Besides the European entry, the cars also started at home, in the domestic series of sporting prototypes, where they were run by the factory sporting division in its own team colors. The sound of the rotary drivetrain became an inseparable mark of this era of endurance racing.
A prototype body is full of curves, wheel covers and transitions where a flat motif does not want to lie down by itself. Warmer water, patient pressing with a damp cloth from the center outward and several repetitions before the film takes the shape will help. Pierce bubbles with the tip of a scalpel and press them down again. Across the edges of the wheel covers work in small pieces, so that the carrier layer does not tear, and let it dry perfectly before you set about overcoating.
