This set of waterslide decals in 1:72 scale brings the markings of the four-engine bomber Handley-Page Halifax in the Mk.I and Mk.II versions with No. 138 Squadron RAF. The set is meant for models of the Halifax, and the kit itself is not included in the package.
The Handley-Page Halifax was one of the main British heavy bombers of the Second World War. No. 138 Squadron was among the special duties units and it saw to the secret dropping of agents and of supplies to the resistance movements in occupied Europe. Its machines carried dark night schemes with subdued markings to match the secret character of the operations.
Apply the decals over a smooth gloss varnish, once dry treat them with a softener and finally give the set a coat of flat clear varnish to match the night scheme. On the large surfaces of a bomber, work on the decals in sections.
