This is an accessory for painting a model, not a kit. The shapes follow the division of the glazing of the cockpit, the nose and the gun positions, so you do not have to piece the frames together from tape. The item belongs to 1:48 scale; you arrange the model itself and the paints separately. The set is designed for the ICM kit.
The Martin B-26 Marauder was an American twin-engine medium bomber with very high wing loading. Because it was demanding to fly, it first earned an unfortunate reputation among crews, but after training and wing modifications it was among the types with the lowest losses. The B version was built in the largest numbers and was deployed over western Europe and in the Mediterranean. During production the wing was given a greater span and a modified angle of incidence, which made landing appreciably easier. The glazing is in several places on the airframe, which makes the masking a solid portion of work.
A bomber has more glazed areas, so think the order of the work through in advance. Masking step by step from the nose backward and protecting the finished parts as you go has proved itself. Apply the paint thinly; on large models it is easy to spray an unnecessarily heavy coat. When you come to remove the masks, work against the direction in which the paint was applied; the edge then stays smooth. Large painted areas will take overnight drying, and the shape of the edge then holds more reliably.
