The package holds an accessory for a model under construction, not the aircraft itself. The Kelik set concentrates on the inside of the two-seat Super Hornet cockpit from the Meng kit and brings elements that are worked three-dimensionally and already finished in color. The modeler thus solves the part of the build where effort and result diverge the most — the instrument panels and the cockpit sidewalls.
The Boeing F/A-18F is the two-seat version of the Super Hornet, that is not a rebuilt earlier Hornet but a markedly larger aircraft with a new wing, angular air intakes and more powerful engines. It has served with the US Navy since the turn of the millennium and the second crew member operates the sensors and the fire control. It is precisely the two separate cockpits in tandem that make the interior a conspicuous part of a model of this type, because the canopy is usually left open.
Apply the elements to parts that are already finished, smooth and free of grease from your hands. Work from the large areas to the small details and let each piece settle properly before you move on to the next. Finally even the completed interior out with a light dark emphasis in the recesses and a gentle light emphasis on the edges. The recommended procedure is given by the manufacturer in the instructions for the set.
