MiG-35 kabuki masks in 1:48 scale, the BASIC variant from New Ware. The smallest of the three sets offered for masking while painting a model.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of machine-cut masks of kabuki paper for a model of the MiG-35 fighter aircraft in 1:48 scale. The New Ware marque offers three levels for this type and BASIC is the smallest of them in scope. The accessory is not stuck onto the model permanently, as it is removed once the spraying is done.
Kabuki is a thin Japanese paper with an elastic structure and a slightly adhesive layer. It can be stretched over a convex canopy, it copies the curves of the frames and once taken off it usually leaves no trace even on fresher paint. Compared with hand-cut tape it saves a great deal of time, because the shapes are cut by machine and exactly to the given shape of the part.
First rid the glazing of grease and dust. Lift the masks from the sheet with tweezers, seat them dry and press the edges down with a blunt tool. Fill the free surfaces in the middle of a part in with ordinary tape or with liquid mask, which will save you material. Spray thinly, so that no ridge forms on the edges, and remove the mask shortly after the last layer has set. Remains of glue on the glass are wiped off by a cotton swab dipped in spirit.
The sheet of masks is the only item in the package, and the model and the paints do not belong with it.
