1:16 Bent bare feet is a replacement set of bare feet in a bent position, intended for reworking figures in a large scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is not a figure nor a kit, but a replacement part. It serves to let an existing figure be rebuilt into a different pose, or to replace a part that did not come out well or is missing. Seated, kneeling and resting figures need feet bent differently from a standing figure, and that is exactly the gap this set fills.
A typical use is a soldier taking his boots off after a march, a figure by the water or a civilian at home. The bare foot is one of the hardest parts of the human body; it has complex anatomy and finished figures often handle it in a simplified way. Swapping in a separately cast part can therefore move the result further than the size of the part would suggest.
First mark on the figure where the cut will run and only then cut, as putting it right afterwards tends to be laborious. Level the mating surface fully and fill the joint as needed so that the transition at the ankle does not show. If the foot goes down into the base of a diorama, it pays to seat it before the terrain material is applied; the footfall then looks natural, because the material really does wrap around the toes.
1:16 is among the large figure formats, so every single detail really is visible on the foot.
