This is not a kit or decals but a small masking aid. The shaped plugs are inserted into the openings of the wheel bays and close them for the time the outside of the model is being sprayed. The bays thus stay in the shade you gave them earlier and you do not have to line them laboriously with paper or cotton wool. The plugs are cut for the Hobby Boss kit of the Spitfire Mk.Vb.
On fighters a wheel bay tends to be painted differently from the surrounding area and lies exactly where the nozzle passes closest while the underside is being sprayed. Without covering, something always gets into it, and overspray is removed badly from a deep recess. A plug solves the problem in a single movement and it also suits the case where you want to leave the bay entirely untouched and paint it at the very end.
Fit the plug dry and try whether it holds on its own. If the clearance is greater, secure it around the perimeter with a strip of masking tape. Spray thinly, so that no ridge of paint forms at the edge. Once dry, take the plug out with tweezers and even out the edge of the opening with the point of a scalpel if needed. They can be reused only to the extent that you do not damage them while taking them out, so work with them calmly.
