About product

D.H. 82A Tiger Moth 1:72 photo-etched parts (Kovozavody Prostejov)

This is a photo-etched detail set, not an airplane kit. It serves to improve the cockpit and the small features of a model of the de Havilland D.H.82A Tiger Moth training biplane in 1:72 scale. The thin metal parts add the detail that injection-molded plastic cannot capture finely enough.

The real subject

The de Havilland D.H.82A Tiger Moth was a British two-seat training biplane on which a great many pilots were schooled before and during the Second World War. It was powered by an inline engine and made its name through reliability and simple handling.

What the set is for and tips

The photo-etched parts sharpen the interior, the instruments and the small features. Separate the parts from the fret with a sharp knife, shape them with tweezers and glue them with super glue. Plan the painting according to the order of assembly.

Who the set is for

  • Modelers of training biplanes in 1:72
  • Builders used to working with fine photo-etch
  • Anyone interested in British interwar aircraft

The set holds photo-etched parts; paints, glue and the model itself are not included in the package.
