An extended set of accurately cut masking stencils in fine Japanese kabuki tape from New Ware. Compared with the Basic range, the Expert version offers a greater extent of masking - besides the canopy it allows for further areas of the model, so you can mask more surfaces before painting with no trimming by hand. The set is intended for A-10 kits in the A and C versions in 1:48 scale.
The Fairchild Republic A-10 Thunderbolt II is an American attack aircraft built around a powerful cannon in the nose and designed for the direct support of ground units. Its recognition features are two engines in nacelles above the rear fuselage, twin vertical tail surfaces and a one-piece bubble canopy. The C version is an upgrade with digitized avionics; the external shapes of the airframe, and therefore the areas to be masked, differ practically not at all.
Move the stencils with tweezers, smooth them on curved surfaces from the center outward and press the edges down. Spray thin coats - first the interior color of the frame, then the outer camouflage. Peel the masks off gently once dry; kabuki tape leaves no adhesive behind.
This is a masking accessory - the aircraft kit itself is not included in the package.
