Omask 1:48 A-10C Thunderbolt II, landing gear bay plugs (for GWH / Great Wall Hobby) are shaped foam plugs that seal the landing gear bays perfectly for the duration of spraying. It is not a kit, so you have to own the GWH A-10C model.

This product is not a model and not a kit, it is masking equipment. You will find no aircraft parts in the package; you have to have the A-10C Thunderbolt II kit from GWH (Great Wall Hobby) in 1:48 scale. The plugs are made of flexible foam and their shape follows the landing gear bays of precisely that kit.
A landing gear bay is among the first things a modeler paints, as it is a deep cavity full of detail. The moment the outside comes up for spraying, though, that finished work is at risk: paint easily gets into an open bay. Dealing with it using tape and cotton wool means an hour of fiddling and still does not seal. With a plug it is a matter of a second: you put it into the bay, spray the model and pull it out again once the paint has dried. The foam is compressible, so it adapts even to an intricate bay edge and seals it without glue. A bonus is the protection of the bay during sanding and against dust in the workshop.
This set belongs to the kit from GWH (Great Wall Hobby). A plug is shaped for the bay of one particular kit, and therefore it cannot be swapped for the set for the A-10C kit from Academy / Hobby 2000, for which a separate version exists. If you have a box from Academy or Hobby 2000 at home, please take that other set rather than this one.
The A-10 Thunderbolt II, known among pilots as the Warthog, is an American attack aircraft for close air support of ground forces. The aircraft was literally built around a seven-barrel rotary cannon and became famous for its toughness: the pilot sits in an armored tub, the key systems are duplicated and the machine can fly slowly and low over the battlefield. The C version brought a digital cockpit and the integration of precision munitions. The landing gear bays are conspicuous on the A-10: the landing gear retracts only partly and the wheels stay partly outside in their fairings. That is exactly why masking them during spraying matters so much.
