This accessory from the Quickboost brand (Aires) is not an airplane model but a small resin replacement for the rear tail wheel for building the American A-1J Skyraider attack aircraft in 1:48 scale. The casting offers more faithful detail than the simplified injection-molded part and is easily swapped in a single step.
The Douglas A-1 Skyraider was an American single-engine piston attack aircraft with long endurance over the battlefield. The layout with a tail wheel at the rear is characteristic of this type; the A-1J version is one of the later variants of the line.
Cut the resin part from the casting block, clean it up and fit it in place of the original wheel. Glue it with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). For the tire we recommend a matte rubber shade and for the hub a metal or base color.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
