A masking sheet for the glazing of the Douglas A-26C-15 Invader in 1:48 scale with cutouts for both sides of the parts.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of stencils for the framing of the cockpit and of the extensive forward glazing of the C-15 version. The cutouts are cut for the ICM mold given in the name of the item and allow for the outer and the inner side of the clear parts.
While the machines of the B series had a solid nose and the pilot led the gun fire, the C version received a glazed station in the nose for a crew member operating the bombsight. Such an aircraft served as the lead machine of a formation: it was guided onto the target accurately and the rest of the force released on its command. Apart from the nose the airframe stayed the same, so it kept its high speed and its heavy bomb load. The glazed nose has a fundamental effect on building a model, though, because it adds a large area with dense framing right at the most exposed place on the whole aircraft.
The frames of the forward dome converge at sharp angles and each of them has a different length. Painting with a brush ends here either in a varying width or in overrun corners. With stencils an even framing arises at the first attempt, and the inner part makes sure no unpainted plastic will show through the glass. Proceed so that you do the inside before you glue the forward glazing into the fuselage.
