This resin detail set brings precisely cast engine exhaust nozzles in 1:48 scale for the Israeli version (IDF) of the A-4 Skyhawk light carrier bomber. It is not an airplane kit but an accessory with which you replace the simplified plastic nozzles from the base kit.
Because of engine overheating, Israeli Skyhawks had a lengthened rear fuselage with a modified nozzle, which is the typical recognition feature of this version. The set captures that shape and the inner structure of the nozzle with a depth and detail that injected plastic can hardly offer.
Wash the parts to remove the mold release agent and cut them from the casting blocks. Sand the mating faces with your airways protected and attach them with super glue. The inside of the nozzle comes out well once painted in metallic and heat-tinted shades.
The detail set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The base model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
