Eduard Big Ed 1:48 A-4B Skyhawk is a collection of photo-etched parts and masks for a detailed build of a model of this American carrier-borne attack aircraft. It is not a model.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Big Ed set from the Czech maker Eduard brings several separate accessory sets for the plastic model of the Douglas A-4B Skyhawk in 1:48 scale together into a single box. It is a set of details, not a model. The box typically contains pre-painted photo-etched parts for the interior, a photo-etched set for the landing flaps, steel seat belts, a photo-etched set of Remove Before Flight tags and self-adhesive masking film.
The Douglas A-4 Skyhawk was an American light carrier-borne attack aircraft, a small, agile and remarkably successful machine with a long service career. The A-4B version was one of the early production variants and served with the US Navy as well as the Marine Corps. For its compactness the Skyhawk was nicknamed the Scooter.
The pre-painted photo-etched parts are printed in advance and replace the plastic parts of the interior. Separate the parts with a sharp knife and glue them with cyanoacrylate. Let the photo-etched landing flaps show in the open position, and the mask will speed up the spraying of the canopy framing.
This is an add-on set, not a model. The base kit, glue, paints and other accessories are not included in the package.
