A detail cockpit set for the carrier attack aircraft Douglas A-4E/F Skyhawk in 1:48 scale from the maker Aires. It is a resin accessory that replaces the basic cockpit interior of a plastic kit with a faithfully detailed assembly: a cockpit tub, an instrument panel, side consoles, an ejection seat and the controls.
The A-4 Skyhawk was an American single-engine light carrier attack aircraft. It stood out for its small size, low weight and simple, reliable design. The E and F versions were among the later standards with a more powerful engine; the F version had the characteristic avionics hump on the spine behind the cockpit.
First wash the resin parts to remove mold release residue, cut off the casting blocks carefully and bond them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Use respiratory protection while sanding. The interior comes into its own once it is painted and the details are lightly brought out with a wash.
This is a resin accessory for a kit, not an aircraft model. The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted; the base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
