This is an injection-molded plastic kit of the American Douglas A-4M Skyhawk attack aircraft in 1:48 scale from Hobby Boss. The A-4M version was developed for the US Marine Corps and represents one of the most capable variants of the family, with a more powerful engine, an enlarged canopy and more modern avionics. The model has a rich build, clear canopy parts and engraved panel lines.
The Douglas A-4 Skyhawk was designed as a small, light and simple carrier-borne attack aircraft to replace the older Skyraider. Its compact dimensions, reliability and payload gave it an exceptionally long service life. The A-4M version with a more powerful engine, an enlarged cockpit and improved avionics was the variant dedicated to the US Marine Corps and the last major production version of the Skyhawk.
Use thin liquid cement on the plastic joints. Given the rich build, fit out the cockpit and the landing gear bays before closing up the fuselage. Mask the glazing and assemble the external stores (bombs, tanks, rockets) according to the scheme you choose. A primer and an airbrush are recommended; American schemes come out well with gentle modulation and a wash in the panel lines. Apply the decals over a gloss clear coat.
