1:48 A-6A/E Intruder, cockpit glazing stencils (Kinetic) match the canopy of the newer molding of the carrier attack aircraft.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of shapes for the outer cockpit frames of the Intruder in the A and E versions, 1:48 scale. It matches the canopy of the Kinetic kit, which you will find in the name of the item.
The Intruder was built for the deck from the start: folding wing tips, strengthened landing gear, an arrestor hook and a fixed probe for in-flight refueling ahead of the cockpit on the right. It carried a greater combat load than many a twin-engine bomber of the war and still fitted into a ship's elevator. Five pylons under the wing and one under the fuselage allowed the armament to be made up according to the task, from conventional bombs through anti-ship to anti-radiation missiles. A low-set nose and a massive rear gave it a silhouette you will not confuse with anything else.
Spray several light coats. A single generous one leaves a noticeable step at the edge of the frame, which you cannot sand back once uncovered without scratching the clear part. Give the finish time between coats. Direct the stream square to the frame, not along it, otherwise the paint is pushed under the edge. Newer moldings tend to have fine and shallow engraving, so it pays to trace the outline once with a blunt tip after laying the shape on, so that it follows the division exactly. Before the last spraying, let the model rest; a warm surface takes paint differently from a cool one.
