1:48 A6M Bulkhead with Seat in MIDDLE position captures the pilot seat in the middle position and completes the cockpit of the Zero kits from Fine Molds in 1:48 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
The middle seat height setting is the most universal of the three, because it matches the pilot's normal working position. The resin print joins the seat and the rear cockpit bulkhead into a single piece, so there are no small parts to put together. It is aimed at the Zero kit from the maker Fine Molds.
The A6M carrier fighter became famous for its exceptional range, which let it escort a strike formation hundreds of kilometers from the mother ship. In the first two years of the war in the Pacific it was one of the most feared machines in the theater and Allied pilots had to choose completely different tactics from the ones they were used to. Its advantage came from its low weight, which it paid for with weak resistance to hits.
The cockpit interiors of Japanese machines from Mitsubishi usually have a characteristic greenish shade. First lay down a thin coat of primer, then the color itself, and pull the details out with a dry brush. A dark wash will run into the recesses and the bulkhead will visually gain depth from it. With the canopy open the seat in the middle position is visible in full, so it pays to spend time on its edges too.
The package covers only the interior fittings; the aircraft itself has to be obtained separately.
