A colored set of 3D-printed interior decals from Quinta Studio for models of the Japanese A6M2 Zero carrier fighter from Mitsubishi production, in 1:48 scale. This is not a kit and not etch: they are three-dimensional, pre-painted decals on a pliable film that you apply straight into the cockpit. The panels have a raised multi-level structure and the dials are covered with gloss varnish for a glass-like look. They are based on the dimensions of the Academy kit.
The A6M2 Zero was a Japanese carrier fighter famous for its long range and its agility. At the start of the Pacific war it dominated air combat, and it was built by two manufacturers, Mitsubishi and Nakajima, whose production differed in the details of the cockpit.
The parts are released from the sheet and applied much like decals, with lukewarm water. It is worth fixing the thicker film with cyanoacrylate or another suitable glue; do not use ordinary decal setting solutions. The interior gains a realistic depth without etch and without painting the dials by hand.
The set contains only the interior decals. The Academy base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
