A resin detail set from the Aires brand in 1:48 scale for replacing the cockpit of a plastic kit of the Japanese A6M5 Zero carrier fighter. The set brings a faithful rendering of the cockpit with an instrument panel, the frame structure, side consoles and a seat. It is not an aircraft model but an aftermarket accessory for more experienced modelers.
The A6M Zero was a single-engine carrier fighter of the Imperial Japanese Navy Air Service of the Second World War, valued for its agility and long range. The A6M5 version belongs to the later production batches with a modified wing structure.
Wash the parts to remove mold release residue, separate the casting blocks and bond them with super glue. Paint the interior before the fuselage is closed; picking out the frame structure and the instruments with shading works well.
This is a resin accessory. The kit itself, glue and paints are not included in the package.
