An add-on photo-etched set for the model of the Aero L-39MS jet trainer (the modernized version of the Albatros family) in 1:48 scale. It contains fine metal parts for the cockpit and the exterior that replace or supplement the less detailed areas of the plastic kit.
The L-39MS, later designated L-59 Super Albatros, was a modernized version of the successful Czechoslovak jet trainer and light attack aircraft. Compared with the basic L-39 it received a more powerful engine and more modern equipment. The Albatros family is among the most widely used jet trainers of its era.
The parts are cut from the fret, thin elements are formed with a photo-etch bending tool and glued with cyanoacrylate glue. Bare metal is best degreased and primed before painting. Pre-painted elements can be fitted directly. Tweezers and fine tools are recommended.
This is an accessory for the plastic kit. The model itself, glue and paints are not included in the package.
