This injection-molded plastic kit from the South Korean manufacturer Academy in 1:48 scale captures the American AH-64A Apache attack helicopter. The package holds clear parts and a decal sheet; the model has a thoroughly worked rotor system and cabin and offers the choice of an open or a closed canopy.
The AH-64 Apache is an American two-seat attack helicopter intended above all to destroy armored vehicles. The AH-64A version is its original production configuration. Its armament includes a thirty-millimeter chain gun under the fuselage and, on the stub-wing pylons, anti-tank guided missiles and pods of unguided rockets. The machine is suited to combat in any weather and at night.
Finish the cabin and the interior before closing the fuselage; the canopy can be left open if you choose. Assemble and paint the external stores separately. For the typical dark green army finish, a matte coat from an airbrush over a base works well; bring out the panel lines and the armament with a wash.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
