This is a resin detail accessory from the Czech maker Eduard, not an aircraft model. The set replaces the plastic landing gear wheels from the original kit with more faithfully cast resin wheels with a fine tread pattern and hub detail. A painting mask is usually included as well, making it easier to separate the tire color cleanly from the rim. Intended for models of the twin-engined Avro Anson Mk.I in 1:48 scale.
The Avro Anson was a British twin-engined all-metal aircraft of the 1930s. It originally served for coastal patrol, and later became mainly a training machine for Commonwealth pilots, navigators and wireless operators. Thanks to its reliability and good handling it stayed in service long after the Second World War.
First wash the parts free of mold release agent with lukewarm soapy water and let them dry thoroughly. Cut the casting blocks off with a sharp knife or a saw, never break them off. Bond with cyanoacrylate. Protect your airways when sanding resin. For a realistic look, emphasize the way the wheels sit on the ground.
This is an accessory intended for further work. Glue, paints and the base model are not included, unless stated otherwise.
