Masks Ar 234C Blitz 1:48 is a set of painting masks from the Czech manufacturer Eduard for masking the glazed cockpit and other items of a model of this type.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of pre-cut painting masks from the Czech manufacturer Eduard in 1:48 scale for the German Arado Ar 234C Blitz jet bomber. The masks serve to mask the extensive glazed cockpit precisely, and usually the wheels as well, while spraying. It is not a model but an accessory for building one.
The Arado Ar 234 Blitz (lightning) was the first operationally deployed jet bomber in the world, from the end of the Second World War. The C version differed from the basic twin-engine version in having four jet engines arranged in two nacelles. The glazed nose gave the crew a good view.
The masks are laid adhesive side down directly onto clean, degreased glazing and the other items of the model to be masked, the edges are pressed down carefully and the areas between them are covered with tape or masking fluid. The framing is then sprayed in the color of the airframe and the masks are removed once dry. Given the fully glazed nose, the set saves a great deal of time and raises the precision of the masking. The masks are meant for this type of aircraft; the particular kit has to be obtained separately.
Painting masks are not a model. The kit of the aircraft itself has to be obtained separately; glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
