A decal sheet in 1:48 scale issued in the collection carried under the designation Archeo Lask. It is an accessory for plastic aircraft models: it holds markings that you transfer onto a sprayed model, so the small insignia, numbers and legends do not have to be painted by hand. Which particular machines and color schemes the sheet covers is given in the instructions issued with it; use them to plan which motifs you will use on the model.
The sheet is prepared for 1:48 scale, that is, for the most widespread size of aircraft models. You can use it on a kit from any manufacturer in the same scale, provided the type of machine and the shape of the area the motif is aimed at agree. On busy places such as wing roots, covers and raised features, count on the decal settling in stages and patiently.
First go over the area with a gloss varnish, so the edges of the decal do not silver. Cut the motif out closely to the printing, soak it in lukewarm water and, once it has released from the backing, slide it onto the model. Blot the surplus water away with soft paper and, once dry, fix the surface with a varnish in the sheen you want. On riveting and panel lines a decal softener helps; it is applied in drops and the motif is not moved afterward. Before you soak the sheet, check in the instructions whether it is a self-adhesive version: a soaked self-adhesive film is ruined.
The package holds a decal sheet. The kit, the paints, the varnishes, the softener and the glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
