Markings for the Austrian Eurofighter in the display finish of the 2024 season, printed in 1:48 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
A combat aircraft display differs from ordinary operations in that the whole program unfolds within a few minutes and over a single point. The Austrian fighter unit has rich experience of it, because the home air show at Zeltweg is one of the largest events of its kind in Central Europe and the fighter is traditionally the high point of its program. For the 2024 season one of the machines was given a special coloring that set it apart from the rest of the unit at first glance.
Besides the display motif itself, the print contains the national insignia and the technical lettering that are usual for the type. You can therefore finish the whole machine without needing any further markings. Display examples usually differ from line aircraft only in their finish, so an ordinary kit without any conversions will do.
Once laid down, let the elements dry in a dust-free place and do not try to move them as soon as the film begins to set. A shift at this stage leaves creases you will never get out of the surface, and the only remedy is usually to strip the element off and replace it with another.
The contents are a printed sheet, not aircraft parts. A Eurofighter kit in 1:48 scale is sold separately, and the sheet is transferred onto it at the very end of the build, after the paint has been finished and has cured. Then leave the finished model alone overnight and come back to the final matte coat the next day, when the film is firmly settled.
