The Avro Lancaster B.III in 1:48 scale is a large COBI brick kit after the British night bomber.
Responsibility details are not available.
This model of plastic bricks captures the standard combat version of the most successful British heavy bomber of the Second World War. The elements hold by pressure, they have their color from the factory, and the build manages without any modeling chemicals.
The Lancaster grew out of the unsuccessful twin-engine Manchester: the designers replaced the pair of troublesome engines with four reliable V12s and gained a machine that reached the units at the beginning of 1942. Its key strength was an unusually long and uninterrupted bomb bay, into which even the heaviest charges the air force of the day possessed would fit. The crew consisted of seven men and the overwhelming majority of the tasks took place after dark. The Mark III designation was carried by machines with engines built under license in the United States.
We recommend working in sections: first the center fuselage, then the wing and finally the tail surfaces with their pair of rudders. Keep checking whether the two wing halves hold the same angle. With a whole this large it helps to sort the elements by color into bowls in advance.
The bomber is built from kit parts step by step according to a pictorial procedure.
